After a 26-year career in the Forces, I got my first job as a consultant in Birmingham. I wanted to expand my experience and move into Project Management. One of my colleagues from my time in the Forces told me that TQ were looking for PM’s and that it was a good place to develop. It was good timing as the company were looking for someone to lead on a new project with HMLR on the digitisation of Land Charges. Since then, I have managed a wide variety of different and interesting project, and now run the Planning Services team.

I manage a team of 11 planning officers who help support local Councils in clearing and maintaining momentum of planning applications. We are now developing a team of Planning Officers that are growing in experience and operating at a high application submission level, working in 10 local councils. The team continues to expand as we are requested by more councils to assist them clearing backlogs and supplementing their own planning teams.
