Latest local land charges project goes live

Tuesday 21 April 2020

The latest project within the HM Land Registry’s Local Land Charges Programme is due to go live on 21st April. TerraQuest as a supplier to HM Land Registry has been responsible for the digitisation, analysis, and transformation of 38,032 Local Land Charges on behalf of Carlisle City Council.

This is the second joint data migration that TerraQuest has completed with HM Land Registry on the LLC programme with more planned in the 2020/21 calendar. The LLC programme is one of many digitisation and transformation projects which TerraQuest, as a long-established provider of land and property research, data capture, data transformation, and GIS solutions for its customers, has supported.

TerraQuest Director Craig Harper said:

"TerraQuest is delighted to have successfully helped achieve another milestone in the Local Land Charges Register digitisation programme, with Carlisle City Council going live on the 21st April. We continue to collaborate positively with HM Land Registry, investing in new technologies to make the migration process as smooth as possible for Local Authorities. Our skill and experience in converting paper and electronic archives to digital records have helped achieve our 5th digitisation. We look forward to our continuing partnership with HM Land Registry and helping the programme migrate future Local Authorities."
