TerraQuest supports expansion of HM Land Registry digital and local land charges register

Friday 31 January 2020

On the 31st January, Peterborough City Council will be the latest local authority to migrate its data to HM Land Registry's Local Land Charges Register. The register provides a quicker, simpler service for Local Land Charge searches and improves the efficiency of the home buying process.

TerraQuest is HM Land Registry's Digitisation and Transformation partner and has been responsible for the digitisation and transformation of more than 30,000 Local Land Charges on behalf of the Council.

This is the first of our joint data migrations that TerraQuest has completed with HM Land Registry on the LLC programme with more planned. The LLC programme is one of many digitisation and transformation projects which TerraQuest, as a long-established provider of land and property research, data capture, data transformation, and GIS solutions for its customers, has supported.

TerraQuests Director, Craig Harper said:

"TerraQuest is delighted to see the latest local authority migration completed with Peterborough City Council going live on the register on 31st January. Working collaboratively with HM Land Registry to convert paper records and transform existing digital records has been a positive process and it is very pleasing for all involved to see our skill and experience delivering the latest addition to the Local Land Charges Register."
