Planning Portal Annual Conference: Angus Kerr, Chief Planner and Director of Regional Planning, Department for Infrastructure
Joining our Planning Reform discussion at the Planning Portal Annual Conference on Monday, 15 November 2021 at 2:00 pm is Angus Kerr, Chief Planner and Director of Regional Planning, Department for Infrastructure in Northern Ireland.
As a graduate of Queen’s University Belfast, Angus obtained his Masters in Town and Country Planning and is a chartered Town Planner with over 28 years of experience working in a wide range of planning posts across Government.
Angus was Project Director for the planning reform and transfer project, which was responsible for reforming the Northern Ireland planning system and transferring the majority of planning functions to the new 11 Councils on 1 April 2015. He is currently responsible for the Minister’s Review of the Implementation of the Planning Act (2011), renewable energy and low carbon development policy, and the new regional planning IT system.
