Planning Portal Annual Conference: Andrew Baddeley-Chappell, CEO, National Custom and Self Build Association

Joining our “Planning Reform, One Year On” panel discussion at the Planning Portal Annual Conference on Monday, 15 November 2021 at 10:30 is Andrew Baddeley-Chappell, CEO of the National Custom and Self Build Association.

As CEO, Andrew is at the frontline of negotiating policy and campaigns for the National Custom and Self Build Association (NaCSBA) and works closely with the Right to Build Task Force. Previously, he worked for the Nationwide Building Society, where he held a range of senior roles including Head of Mortgages and Savings Policy, and he also chairs the Bank of England Residential Property Forum.

The NaCSBA was set up by a network of companies and individuals with the aim of promoting self-build and custom build as a form of housing delivery that can make a significant contribution to home building in the UK. This includes community-led housing, such as cohousing or Community Land Trusts, as they are models that lead to owner-commissioned homes.

NaCSBA brings together developers, architects, planners, financial and warranty providers, manufacturers, self-builders, community groups and local authorities to develop, share and promote best practice in self and custom build.

You can read Andrew’s full profile and see details of our other speakers here. Super Early Bird tickets for the conference are currently available by registering through our website, click here to access tickets.
